Our Program Activities
CMD-M programming is centered on the consolidation of democracy through the provision of support to political parties with representation in Parliament. Strategic objectives for CMD-M’s programming include the following:

Strengthen and facilitate development and implementation of an appropriate constitutional and legislative framework.

Promote institutional, organizational and leadership capacities of political parties.

Support all processes that ensure delivery of fair, free, transparent and credible elections.

Provide technical support that ensure political parties engage in issue-based politics during and after campaigns.

Promote politics of inclusion (women, youth and people with disabilities).

Achievements
- Enhanced dialogue between political parties and key stakeholders
- Enactment of the Political Parties Act (2018)
- Diffusion of Political tensions during elections- In reference to the 2019 Tripartite elections and the 2020 Fresh Presidential Elections
- Building the capacity of political party monitors (poll agents)
- Co-Chaired the National Taskforce of Electoral Reforms
