About Us

The Centre for Multiparty Democracy – Malawi (CMD-M) is a platform for dialogue for political parties with representation in Parliament in Malawi.

CMD-M was registered as a Trust in 2005, with Secretaries General of political parties as Board Members of the Trust and senior political leaders identified by political parties as Trustees. The Centre was officially launched in October, 2005.

The concept of CMD is based on a collective will of all its member political parties to ensure the entrenchment of multiparty democracy in Malawi for present and future generations.
